Summary

Heavy camper topper lids can make setup and breakdown much harder for RV owners. This project focused on installing custom lift-assist shocks to help lighten the load and make daily use more comfortable.

The Work

Installed gas-strut lift-assist systems on multiple camper topper lids
Adjusted the number of shocks per lid based on weight for safe, easy operation
Used aluminum reinforcement plates and brackets to secure the system
Tested all lids after installation and explained use and future plans to the customer

The Outcome

Opening and closing the camper lids now takes much less effort. The customer found the improvement right away and was able to operate each lid easily. The upgrade made the camper more user-friendly and manageable.
